RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY
At Held & Preserved, each piece is handcrafted with care using real flowers and natural materials. Because of the handmade and organic nature of our jewelry, every piece will have its own unique characteristics.
We want you to feel confident in your purchase. Please review the following return and refund policies before placing an order.
Ready-to-Wear Jewelry
Eligible ready-to-wear items may be returned within 7 days of delivery.
To qualify for a return, the item must be:
-
Unworn and unused
-
In its original condition
-
Returned with its original packaging
-
Free from damage, alteration, or signs of wear
Please contact Held & Preserved before returning an item. Returns sent without prior communication may not be accepted.
Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the status of your refund.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.
Earrings
For hygiene and sanitary reasons, earrings are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Please review product photographs, descriptions, dimensions, and materials carefully before purchasing.
Custom Preservation Orders
Because custom preservation pieces are created specifically for you using your flowers, keepsakes, and selected design elements, all custom preservation orders are final sale.
Custom pieces cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded based on personal preference once the preservation and creation process has begun.
We encourage you to ask questions and discuss your design preferences during your consultation before approving your custom order.
Preservation Fee
The $50 preservation fee is non-refundable once your custom preservation order has been booked.
This fee reserves your place in our preservation schedule and covers the initial handling, preparation, and preservation process for your flowers.
The preservation fee is separate from the cost of the finished jewelry or keepsake unless otherwise specifically stated.
Custom Order Deposits
A 50% deposit toward your selected jewelry pieces is required as part of the custom ordering process.
Once materials have been ordered or work on your custom pieces has begun, the deposit is non-refundable.
Any remaining balance, applicable sales tax, upgrades, or additional charges must be paid according to the payment terms provided with your custom order.
Changes or Cancellations to Custom Orders
If you need to make a change to your custom order, please contact Held & Preserved as soon as possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate design changes before creation begins. However, additional charges may apply if materials have already been purchased or additional work is required.
Once a piece has entered the creation process, changes may no longer be possible.
Cancelling a custom order does not guarantee a refund of preservation fees, deposits, materials already purchased, or work already completed.
Natural Flower Variations
Real flowers naturally change during drying and preservation.
Changes or variations may include:
-
Color changes or darkening
-
Increased transparency
-
Differences in shape or texture
-
Natural markings or imperfections
-
Slight variations between petals or flowers
-
Small bubbles or other characteristics associated with handcrafted resin work
We take great care to preserve the beauty and character of your flowers, but their original fresh appearance cannot be guaranteed.
These natural variations are part of working with real botanical materials and are not considered defects.
Handmade Variations
Every Held & Preserved piece is individually handcrafted rather than mass-produced.
Slight differences in flower placement, resin shape, coloring, texture, dimensions, or appearance may occur. Ready-to-wear pieces may also look slightly different in person due to lighting, photography, screen settings, and the natural characteristics of the flowers.
These variations are part of the uniqueness of handmade botanical jewelry.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you believe your item arrived damaged or has a workmanship defect, please contact Held & Preserved as soon as possible after receiving it.
Please include:
-
Your name and order information
-
A description of the issue
-
Clear photographs of the item
-
Photographs of the packaging if the item was damaged during shipment
Each situation will be reviewed individually.
When appropriate, Held & Preserved may offer a repair, replacement, store credit, or refund depending on the circumstances and availability of materials.
Because many custom pieces contain irreplaceable flowers, an exact replacement may not always be possible.
Normal Wear & Jewelry Care
Handcrafted jewelry requires proper care.
Damage resulting from normal wear, accidents, improper storage, impact, misuse, exposure to excessive moisture, heat, chemicals, perfumes, lotions, cleaning products, or failure to follow the provided jewelry-care instructions is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Repairs may be available depending on the condition of the piece and availability of materials. Repair fees may apply.
Return Shipping
Unless an item arrived damaged, defective, or an incorrect item was sent, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Original shipping or delivery charges are non-refundable.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method when returning merchandise. Held & Preserved cannot guarantee receipt of a returned package that does not include tracking.
Refund Processing
Once an approved return has been received and inspected, refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Please allow additional processing time for your bank, credit card provider, or payment service to post the refund to your account.
Any applicable refund will be based on the amount actually paid for the eligible returned item.
Sale, Clearance & Special-Order Items
Items clearly marked Final Sale at the time of purchase cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Special-order materials, personalized pieces, and made-to-order items may also be considered final sale when indicated during the ordering process.
